Privacy & activity counts
We use daily totals to understand which pages and article links are useful. Reading the site does not require an account, an analytics cookie, or an acceptance popup.
What we count
Our server adds to a daily counter when it receives an eligible page request or a request to open one of our article links. We group those totals by public page or article and sport, using America/Chicago dates. These are activity counts, not unique people, browsing histories, or proof that an article was read.
The counters contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses, browser identifiers, fingerprints, referrers, search terms, or full query strings. We do not add analytics scripts, pixels, or individual event records. Hosting infrastructure processes requests and may keep technical logs separately. External publishers have their own privacy practices.
We report a rolling 90 days of activity. Older daily totals are deleted when the next activity is recorded. We use them to improve this publication, not for advertising, profiling, or selling or sharing visitor data.
Your choice
We skip counts when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also exclude this browser below. This optional choice sets a single preference cookie to remember your request for one year; it contains no identifier. No preference cookie is set unless you make a choice.
This browser has not requested exclusion.
